Named For The Man Who Built America's First Rigid Airship

Commander's Grill honors Commander Ralph Downs Weyerbacher, a Boonville native who designed and built the U.S. Navy's first rigid airship in 1923. His innovation changed American flight. We build every plate with the same discipline.

Innovation, Riveted Into Every Detail

The same engineering discipline that changed American flight in 1923 goes into every plate we build tonight. Nothing is an afterthought. Nothing is rushed.

The Same Precision. Now On Your Plate

Hand-crafted smashed burgers, buttermilk fried chicken, USDA Prime steaks and chops, built with the same care as the instruments on the wall.

Our Story

Named For The Man Who Built America’s First Rigid Airship

Commander’s Grill is named in honor of Commander Ralph Downs Weyerbacher, a Boonville native who designed and built the U.S. Navy’s first rigid airship in 1923. His innovation and precision changed American military flight.

We build every plate with that same discipline: hand-crafted, exact, and worth the wait.
